Customers on-line are reporting on Reddit and X that Chrome is eradicating outdated extensions. In Chrome, a notification window will seem beneath the extensions tab on the browser taskbar with a message encouraging customers to take away the impacted add-on, saying it has been turned off and is “not supported.” Two buttons can be found that permit customers to both shortly delete or handle their extensions.
These adjustments come as Google migrates Chrome away from the now defunct Manifest V2 specification. Help is being killed not only for uBlock Origin, however for any extension that hasn’t (or is unable to) replace to Manifest V3. uBlock Origin customers can change to uBlock Origin Lite, which has extra restricted filtering capabilities than its predecessor as a consequence of Manifest V3’s advert blocking restrictions.
